Valentine’s Day at the castle!
The Matchmaker:
Lady Philippa Willoughby is known for hosting many gatherings and celebrations at the castle. Somewhat meddlesome at times, she has taken it upon herself to play matchmaker to the villagers. This, along with her carefree ways, causes her to be the brunt of gossip that she is an improper lady. When her father betroths her to a Frenchman she has never met, she rebels, planning on finding a match for herself at her upcoming St. Valentine’s Day dance.
The Novice:
Lord Etienne de Beynac, the youngest of six boys, has managed to disgrace his family with his wild ways. When his father and brothers disown him he has no choice but to agree to his father’s terms. He joins a monastery as a novice across the channel, in England.
Etienne gets one last chance for redemption before he finalizes his vows to live the rest of his life as a monk. As a favor to his brother, he goes to Grimsthorpe Castle to spy on his brother’s betrothed, Lady Philippa. He needs to find out if she is a proper lady with whom his family can align. But once there, he develops a strong attraction to Lady Philippa that threatens his plans to be a monk.
Will a St. Valentine’s Day dance bring two misfits together in love? And will a man slated for a life of celibacy and poverty be able to put down the rosary and pick up the sword to fight for the woman he loves?

Lord Etienne de Beynac, the youngest of six boys, has managed to disgrace his family with his wild ways. His antics have landed him in a monastery as a novice across the channel, in England.
He is not monk material but he knew this all along. This is a delightfully funny Valentines romance. Like many of Elizabeth Rose’s books you will find yourself laughing out loud.
I gave this book 4.4 of 5.0 stars for story line and characterization.
I received a complimentary copy of this book to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this title which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

Experience a medieval Christmas in authentic detail in this first book of the Holiday Knights Series.
Sir Adam de Ware is on a mission as a spy for King Edward III. He is sent to Cavendish Castle to investigate some odd behavior from the earl. If he succeeds to get answers for the king, he will be rewarded when the mission is completed.
Lady Eva Cavendish will do anything to protect her father’s secret, even forging missives to the king in her father’s name. But when Sir Adam shows up at her doorstep on Christmas Eve with a roasted goose and all the fixings to offer, she finds that she can’t turn him away.
This is a delightfully humorous holiday novella by Elizabeth Rose.
The angst and attraction between our hero and heroine make it an interesting and well written read.
This not to be missed novella by fans of this author is a quick read.I gave this book 4.25 of 5.0 stars for storyline and characterization. It is a sweet/clean read with no sexual interaction. It is like a fairy tale in that sense and could be shared with your teen or even pre-teen.

Synopsis:
A beautiful but mysterious woman arrives in the castle courtyard one night, as the baron’s replacement to Lord Ricard Wellington’s betrothed. With eyes like emeralds and a smile that could melt even a hardened warrior’s heart, Lady Flora Debenham quickly captures Ricard’s interest. However, she is feisty as well as disobedient and keeps sneaking out of the castle walls. The woods are dangerous and filled with Druids who he believes have killed his parents. Fearing for her safety, he follows her, hoping to learn her secrets.
Lady Flora takes her cousin’s place as the handsome Lord Ricard’s betrothed, but it is naught more than a ploy to get close to the Druids who are hiding nearby. Her dying mother reveals to her that her father was a Druid and that she was conceived at the festival of Beltane. The woman’s last wish was for Flora to find her father and return a sacred icon to him.
What starts out as nothing but a means to an end turns into an attraction to a man Flora never intended to marry. Ricard treats her like a queen, and she starts to fall in love. The only wedge between them is that he has vowed to hunt down and kill the same people she is trying to protect.
Will vengeance prevent the seeds of love from blooming?
