Synopsis:

A Gingerbread RomanceTaylor’s architectural firm enters her in a contest in which the teams will design and build life sized gingerbread houses. After the contest, Taylor will likely be getting a promotion to a position in another city. But Taylor’s original partner soon backs out, and she needs to find a replacement.

When she meets Adam, a baker and single dad, at a local bakery, she convinces him to partner with her for the contest. After all, winning would give the bakery and his designs much needed exposure.

For years Taylor has been resistant to call anywhere “home” for fear it would only be temporary. But the time she spends with Adam and his daughter Brook in their cozy home, decorating for Christmas, and enjoying Philadelphia’s holiday traditions, fills her with a longing for a place to call her own.

As an architect, she designs beautiful buildings… But will her heart ever find a place to call home?

My Thoughts:

Taylor’s architectural firm enters her in a contest to build life-sized gingerbread houses. After the contest, she’s likely to get a promotion to a position in Paris. This is what she is certain she wants until she meets Adam, a baker and single dad. She convinces him to be her partner in the contest. After all, winning would give his bakery much-needed exposure.
This heartwarming Hallmark Christmas tale is just what you need to get you in the Holiday spirit. It’s the first time I’ve read a book by Lacey Baker and it’s a good one that based on the Hallmark Movie.
Make certain to pick up this Christmas Romance to get you in the right mood for the upcoming holidays.
I gave this book0 4.25 of 5.0 stars for story line and characterization.
This is a sweet Christmas tale because after all it’s based on a Hallmark movie.
I received a complimentary copy of this book to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

Wooing does not go well at first. But just as Juliana begins to welcome the boisterous but tenderhearted Scot into her life (and her bed), secrets come between them once more. And it will take a determined husband indeed to ensure that a marriage begun in haste leads not to heartache…but to love.

My Thoughts:

A single lady of birth, beauty, and large fortune should not have this much trouble making a match. Yet after two failed betrothals, Lady Juliana Bernard is in a bind. She must find a husband at once or lose guardianship of her beloved niece.
Enter the twin brother of her best friend. She has taken an instant dislike for this stubborn and trouble making Scot but he is now her only hope to keep custody of her beloved niece.
Her best friend the duke is already engaged. The only other option is the duke’s scandalous brother, Logan, Laird of Clan Kinross. But Logan is the reason she is in this predicament.
Can this unlikely pair put aside their differences and marry for the sake of an innocent child or will they find love in this outlandish scheme?
I was hooked from page one. I loved this newest Besotted Scots book by Anna Bradley. I couldn’t put it down.
