The Haberdashers
In 1805 three little girls decided to create a “boys club” because boys have more fun. Their childhood was filled with sword fighting, horse racing, and archery. Now in 1815 they are all grown up and expected to join Society. Who will marry such independent and deadly misses?

Trials of Artemis
(Regency, Hot) Loving Lord Lucifer…
An independent bluestocking sneaks into a library to read rare Greek texts and ends up with a husband instead.

Jacqueline “Jack” Walters loves archery and Greek military history. In her third season she has failed to inspire so much as one marriage proposal and is planning to settle into the quiet life of a spinster.

Gideon Wolfe, Earl of Harrington, has been avoiding marriage but a case of mistaken identity in the library has left him saddled with an argumentative and unwilling fiancée.

What readers are saying:

“I enjoyed seeing the relationship play out between
the two main characters, especially since the author decided to make
them both forthright and honest with each other, being able to pick up
on emotional cues, instead of relying on misdirection and
misinterpretation to lengthen the story, as is usually the case in this

“Their characters and their relationship develop at an almost
perfect pace as the book progresses (with bumps along the newlywed road,
of course). If you like a strong female, this is the book for you.”

All she had to do was find a fiancé. In four days. In the middle of nowhere.

One reclusive bluestocking…
Fiona Amberly is more intrigued by the Roman ruins near her manor house than she is by balls. When her dying Grandmother worries about Fiona’s future, Fiona stammers that she’s secretly engaged. Soon she finds herself promising that she will introduce her husband-to-be by Christmas.

One dutiful duke…
Percival Carmichael, new Duke of Alfriston, is in a hurry. He’s off to propose to London’s most eligible debutante. After nearly dying at Waterloo, he’s vowed to spend the rest of his life living up to the ton’s expectations.

One fallen tree…
When Fiona tries to warn a passing coach about a tree in the road, the driver mistakes her for a highwaywoman. Evidently he’s not used to seeing women attired in clothes only suitable for archaeology waving knives. After the driver flees, Fiona decides she may as well borrow the handsome passenger…

A Rogue To Avoid

Matchmaking for Wallflowers Book 2

Publisher/Authors Description:

A Scottish scoundrel…
Gerard Highgate, Marquess of Rockport and the ton’s most aloof rake, knows better than to wed an Englishwoman, especially one as prickly as Lady Cordelia. But when his mother dies and he finds himself saddled with her debts, he needs a wife and he needs one fast.

Gerard Highgate, Marquess of Rockport, is not the type to attend balls. But when he is chased into a home in Harrogate, he decides he must blend in–even if that means dancing with Lady Cordelia.

An exacting Englishwoman…
Lady Cordelia knows that hastiness in husband hunting leads to mistakes. But when she visits an aristocrat to warn that his life might be in danger, he misinterprets her suggestion to flee to Scotland.

Lady Cordelia was supposed to be the perfect debutante. But three broken engagements later, she’s the subject of titters rather than laudations. Now relegated to the wallflower section of every ballroom, she does not want anything to plummet her further into scandal. She absolutely does not want to have anything to do with the too handsome, too roguish, too Scottish Marquess of Rockport.

An unexpected elopement…
Most elopements are born of love, not misunderstanding. Cordelia and Gerard have already broken that rule, but perhaps they can still make their marriage one of love.

The only thing Lady Cordelia and Lord Rockport can agree on is their mutual abhorrence.

My Thoughts:

This is book #2 in this series by this relatively new author.

I haven’t read book #1 but I have read the novella which was sandwiched between book #1 and this one. Both are wonderfully written with excellent characterization and very good story lines. There are multiple twists and turns and a surprise around every corner.

This is a story of opposites that don’t attract. You wonder from the start how exactly these two will come to love each other. They just don’t suite as we expect our hero and heroine to have something remarkable in common.

In one situation after another, the author creates roadblocks for this unconventional couple. I looked forward to the next page to see where it would finally lead them. The pair fights against evil constantly. I enjoyed the story from page one.

I would give this book 4.5 stars for character development and story and look forward to future endeavors from Bianca Blythe.

I would give it a 3.5 heat rating.

I received a complimentary digital ARC of this title via Netgalley. This in no way affected my opinion of this book.

The Wrong Heiress for Christmas

Matchmaking for Wallflowers Book 6

Publisher’s Description:

A reclusive duke…
Lord Frederick Bowen, Duke of Salisbury, is expecting an heiress for Christmas. The fact does not bring him pleasure. Ever since the war ended, he would rather focus on experiments for his new waterproof material.

A commoner…
Celia might be the daughter of an earl, but she’s of the illegitimate variety. She has resigned herself to life as a maid for the wicked countess and her two half-sisters.

A Christmas house party…
When Celia’s half-sister begs her to pretend to be her, Celia finds herself in a fairy tale. Everyone knows though that fairy tales never come true…

My Thoughts:

What a delightful read!!

This sixth book in Bianca Blythe’s Matchmaking For Wallflowers Series seems to be a Holiday take on Cinderella. It includes a wicked countess, half sisters(one who asks Celia to pose as her), and a Duke who is her unlikely suitor.
This fairytale like Christmas Romance will engage the reader and keep your attention. I couldn’t put it down once I began reading.

Lord Fredrick Bowen is an unlikely Duke. He much prefers his chemistry experiments to anything society has to offer. He needs to marry to carry on the title so along with his mother he invites Lady Theodosia Fitzroy to his home and to a ball to be held there.

Lady Theodosia has ideas of her own. She is in love with a French Comte and intends to elope to marry him. She asks Celia to take her place and thus ensues our story.

Our basic rags to riches Cinderella tale turns into a wonderfully told regency romp.

I gave this delightful tale 4.75 of 5.0 stars for storyline and character development and a sensual rating of 3.0 of 5.0 flames. Our tale is mostly a comically sweet one with only one intimate encounter.

I received a complimentary digital ARC of this book from the author via Bookfunnel to read and review as part of her review team. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
