When she finds an old letter indicating her mother may have had a scandalous past, Chastity is drawn to the mystery of the woman she never knew. This Christmastide, she’s determined to uncover the truth—and start a scandal of her own.
Bastian Stanhope, the Earl of Mansfield, has lived his life in accordance to the wishes of others. Caring for his ailing mother is his main responsibility. But when he meets Lady Chastity, he’s drawn to her compassion and adventurous spirit. Will Chastity find out what the truth is and will Bastian turn over the care of his mother to someone else?
I loved both Bastian and Chastity’s characters. Bastian is a most compassionate son even though he is taunted by school mates for being so.
Chastity needs for her own peacee of mind to find out the truth of her parentage.
This intriguing holiday romance is not to be missed.
I love a good regency tale and this one by Christina McKnight did not disappoint me.
I gave this lovely holiday tale 4.5 of 5.0(rounded up to 5) stars for storyline and characterization.
There is just enough intimacy to lend a bit of spice to this book.
I received a complimentary ARC of this book to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
