The Disgraceful Viscount
When Virginia is brutally rejected by the man she has loved for as long as memory serves her, she flees to the comforts of her aunt and uncle in London – a decision that unexpectedly leads her to the front lines of the Napoleonic wars. Lord Oliver and the Halverston Belles

Her family, while used to her untamed tongue and opinionated pronouncements, are nonetheless dismayed by her announcement. To change her mind, they enlist the help of Lord Oliver Westminster, the wealthy younger son of a marquess, who has long been regarded a member of the Halverston family. Lord Oliver has his own reasons for setting about this task, but he is well aware that Isabella has not a single thought of him as a potential husband. Can he persuade her to give up her firmly-set notions before her disregard for the ways of Society damages more than her own future?

Healing the Heart of a Viscount
An unattractive heiress, a dying Viscount, a desperate mother, and a father who fears for his daughter’s virtue – all play out passionately against the backdrop of societies expectations. A clean regency story of true love risen from the grave.

Pursuing the Governess
When a simple governess pulled from the dregs of 1800 London is thrown into fine society no one expected that she would attract the attentions of one of London’s noblest catches – much to the consternation of those of better heritage that now surround her…

Publisher’s Description:

England in the dawn of the nineteenth century does not tolerate a young woman of spirit who would rather ride than waltz and go fishing rather than flirt. Ruth Conroy is the pride of her father and brothers and the despair of her mother, who fears that her daughter’s unconventional ways will prevent her from marrying.

Goaded by her mother’s nagging, Ruth declares that she will only marry a man who can beat her in a horse race. As she is an expert horsewoman, her challenge seems unlikely to be met.

But family friend Robert Holloway has always loved Ruth, and if it takes a horse race to win her, then an equestrian he will be, even though he is a poor rider. Out of friendship, Ruth agrees to teach him how to ride with skill, never realizing that his goal is to win the race and win her hand in marriage.

When she is challenged, she must decide what she will win or lose in this race for her heart.

Publisher’s Description:

More than anything, India Ramone wants to give her daughter, her younger brother, and her elderly grandfather a Christmas they deserve. After the death of her mother, the last two years have been rough and money is tight. A full-time nursing student, she feels her prayers have been answered with the temporary job of personal assistant to John Laurencelli. The billionaire is rumored to be demanding and difficult but India soon realizes there’s more to him than bad press and weapons-grade dangerous good looks. But with everything on her plate, she doesn’t have time to be falling for her new boss.

John Laurencelli lives, eats, and breathes his business and making money. For his own reasons, he’s avoided Christmas for two decades. But it’s proving difficult this year when his new assistant wears vintage holiday aprons, hums Christmas tunes, and likes to spread good cheer. Despite his determination not to celebrate the season, it isn’t long before India opens his eyes to what’s missing in his life.

Can they overcome their fears and misgivings to make it a truly wonderful Christmas for each other?

Each book in The Happy Holidays Series is a standalone novel and can be read in any order.

My Thoughts:

This sweet and engaging Holiday Romance has the feel of a Hallmark Movie. There is a happily ever after ending and several moments of hilarity in this sweetly written title.

India is a single mother who takes care of everyone, her Grandfather, her brother, her daughter and now a demanding boss. All while attending nursing school.

Her erstwhile boss is a very rich man who takes care of no one including himself.

Can these polar opposites come together in this touching and funny holiday story?

Read this newest edition of The Happy Holidays Series to find out.

This is a standalone title just like the other books in the series so you do not need to have read the other books to enjoy this one.

I gave this book 4 of 5 stars for storyline and characterization and a low sensual rating of 1 of 5 flames. This is a clean/ sweet book with no intimacy to speak of.

I received a complimentary copy of this book to read via Hidden Gems. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

This Series:

  • A Whyte Christmas
  • This Christmas
  • A Wish For Christmas
