“A master storyteller.”—Affaire de Coeur
Nearing thirty, the Duke of Rathburne is finally ready to make amends for the wager that caused him and his best friends such scandal—but taking on a ward who needs a husband is a feat he’s not sure he can manage. The last he saw of Miss Marlena Fast, she was a spirited little ruffian, not the sort of bride most bachelors on the marriage mart sought. But one glance at the lovely lady she has become is enough to convince him otherwise…
Orphaned young and shuffled from family to family, Marlena counts on her fierce independence and quick wits to keep herself content. Being the responsibility of a notoriously wicked duke who upended so many lives is an unexpected challenge when she realizes he arouses her decidedly feminine desires. Marlena must be careful. She has her own scandalous secret to protect. If he finds out, will it shatter her chances of a happily-ever-after with the notorious rake?
It’s All About the Duke is the next Regency romance in The Rakes of St. James series from Amelia Grey.
I loved this well written and delightful final installment of The Rakes of St. James trilogy.
This often humorous tale is a page turner and had me engrossed from the first chapter. I simply couldn’t put it down.
I have read the entire series and reviewed them all. These characters are well developed and extremely engaging.. I am sad to see this series come to an end.
Rath and Marlena’s story is very intriguing and another one with just enough humor to make it a can’t put down read.
I gave this newest installment 4.75 of 5.’stars for storyline and characterization and a sensual rating of 3 of 5 flames. There is no need for steamy scenes to entice me into completing this excellent book.
I received a complimentary digital ARC of this book from the publisher to read and review. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

A mist-shrouded lighthouse guides two people home, where a chance at love waits—if they’ll take it.
When her last living relative dies, Emily Cooke takes a sabbatical leave to take stock of her life. As she moves into her tranquil beachfront rental, her new neighbor rumbles into the driveway next door on his vintage motorcycle—and ignores her neighborly wave.
Wes Taggert left behind a lucrative career that destroyed his faith in humanity. All he wants now is to be left alone, undisturbed. When news spreads that the historic lighthouse is slated to be demolished, Wes goes to a meeting of locals determined to rescue the crumbling landmark. His new neighbor is there. He can’t seem to ignore her.
The Hope Harbor Lighthouse has drawn them together, and it could guide them home, where a chance at love waits—if they’ll take it.
This is the second book I have read in this series and I found it as well written as the first one.
This is a sweet contemporary with only a hint of intimacy between the hero and heroine.
There is a background story which includes employer sexual harassment and abuse, but that is something that has previously occurred and the reason why Wes now resides in one of the cottages near the lighthouse.
Emily also has her reasons for moving into the area. It is something that she s uncomfortable disclosing.
This couple soon finds themselves attracted to each other.
How will this convoluted tale end?
I enjoyed this short read although it isn’t my preferred genre.
I gave this book 4.5 of 5.0 stars for storyline and characterization and a sensual rating of 2.0 of 5.0 flames. There is only the presence of a few heated kisses and a hint of something more.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
