HOW TO CAPTURE A DUKE
Fiona Amberly is more intrigued by the Roman ruins near her manor house than she is by balls. When her dying Grandmother worries about Fiona’s future, Fiona stammers that she’s secretly engaged. Soon she finds herself promising that she will introduce her husband-to-be by Christmas.
One dutiful duke…
Percival Carmichael, new Duke of Alfriston, is in a hurry. He’s off to propose to London’s most eligible debutante. After nearly dying at Waterloo, he’s vowed to spend the rest of his life living up to the ton’s expectations.
One fallen tree…

A ROGUE TO AVOID
The only thing Lady Cordelia and Lord Rockport can agree on is their mutual abhorrence.
Lady Cordelia was supposed to be the perfect debutante. But three broken engagements later, she’s the subject of titters rather than laudations. Now relegated to the wallflower section of every ballroom, she does not want anything to plummet her further into scandal. She absolutely does not want to have anything to do with the too handsome, too roguish, too Scottish Marquess of Rockport.
Gerard Highgate, Marquess of Rockport, is not the type to attend balls. But when he is chased into a home in Harrogate, he decides he must blend in–even if that means dancing with Lady Cordelia.
This is book #2 in this series by this relatively new author.
I haven’t read book #1 but I have read the novella which was sandwiched between book #1 and this one. Both are wonderfully written with excellent characterization and very good story lines. There are multiple twists and turns and a surprise around every corner.
This is a story of opposites that don’t attract. You wonder from the start how exactly these two will come to love each other. They just don’t suite as we expect our hero and heroine to have something remarkable in common.
In one situation after another, the author creates roadblocks for this unconventional couple. I looked forward to the next page to see where it would finally lead them. The pair fights against evil constantly. I enjoyed the story from page one.
I would give this book 4.5 of 5.0 stars for character development and storyline and look forward to future endeavors from Bianca Blythe.
I would give it a 3.5 of 5.0 flames heat rating.
I received a complimentary digital ARC of this title via Netgalley. This in no way affected my opinion of this book.
Lord Rupert Haywood, future Duke of Belmonte, has no desire to manage an estate with his corrupt father. He prefers to roam the ocean with his crew of rugged pirates.
One Awkward American
Ever since Louisa Carmichael’s brother unexpectedly inherited a dukedom, her mother’s expectations for her have veered in a distinctly vertical direction. Louisa dreams not of glittering ballgowns, but of exploring the tropical waters of the Caribbean with her latest invention, an underwater breathing apparatus.
One Forbidden Journey
When her mother arranges a marriage for her, Louisa decides she might just don a pair of breeches and discover the Caribbean in disguise. The only problem is a certain very handsome captain…
This is book #3 of this fun series by a relatively new author on the scene. I have read book #2 and the prequel Novella that are part of this series and found them to be engaging. I did however miss out on book #1. I will try to go back and read it although I don’t think it necessary. These books seem to only be tied together by theme rather than characters. They all do well as standalones.
I feel the characters and storyline are well developed and interesting.
I gave this book 4 of 5 stars for storyline and characterization and 2 of 5 flames for heat. There isn’t a lack of sexual by play in this book but it was kept to a minimum.
I received a complimentary digital copy from the author via Book funnel to read and review.

The Rest of This Series
With My Reviews
Mad About The Baron (Matchmaking for Wallflowers Book 4)
A hopeless romantic…
Veronique Daventry absolutely believes in true love. When the baron she’s corresponded with for years over long distance suggests they elope in Scotland, she eagerly assents. Perhaps she’s never met him, but she’s certain their souls are meant to be joined for eternity.
A notorious rogue…
Lord Miles Worthing is surprised when he is ushered to a chapel on a visit to Scotland and finds a beautiful woman. His happiness halts when her family discovers them in a compromising position.
A mistaken identity…
Veronique is devastated to have mistaken this stranger for her fiancé. She needs to find the correct baron at once, but the only person who can help her is the man who makes her heart race as it absolutely should not.
I have read most of this series and found this book to be the best I have read so far. There is just the right mixture of comedy, adventure and love.
Veronique is a young woman who is the daughter of an American and a mulatto woman. She is a romantic who is the secret author of books that were considered, in this time period to be scandalous reading materials.
She has been corresponding with a Baron for two years and intends to marry him as soon as possible.
Miles who has recently been given the title of Baron is mistaken for the Baron that Veronique intends to marry.
This is how our adventurous tale begins.
Will Veronique get her happily ever after. Will it be with the man she has been corresponding with for two years or the man who was recently mistaken for him?
I found this at times funny tale to have very endearing characters and well thought out storyline.
I gave it 4.25 of 5 stars for storyline and characterization and a sensual rating of 3 of 5 flames.
There is only a brief physical encounter near the end of the book. This scene was the undeniable culmination of what would happen.
I received a complimentary digital copy of this book from the publisher to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I have voluntarily reviewed.
A Marquess for Convenience (Matchmaking for Wallflowers Book 5)
Unlike most bluestockings, Lady Madeline Mulbourne is quite content for the ton to dismiss her as a widowed baroness and renowned hostess of society parties. No need for anyone to know that her flighty manner disguises an encyclopedic knowledge of art, a bone-deep distrust of men, and a dangerous secret.
Lord Arthur Carmichael, Marquess of Bancroft, has carefully cultivated a wild reputation. What could be a more perfect cover for the spy missions he undertook for the Crown? Unfortunately now that the war has ended, his reputation could keep him from settling into a cabinet position—unless he takes a wife.
Before Arthur can embark on the dreaded wedding quest, he must complete one last mission: catch a thief who’s stolen four of five priceless pieces of jewelry. If the last one disappears, the fragile peace between France and England could be damaged beyond repair.
Whom should he encounter on the French Riviera but Lady Mulbourne, who never forgave him for vanishing during their long-ago courtship. Arthur suspects her nimble fingers are adept at more than just fluttering a fan, because he knows of one item she’s already stolen: his heart.
Just when I think Bianca Blythe couldn’t possibly write a better book she surprises me with the next installment in this series.
Madeline has been in love with Aurthur since she was a young debutante. Because of a misconception they are parted and she marries another.
Arthur thinks she has spurned him and proceeds to leave to spy for the crown.
Now the war is over and he finds himself with a new mission. He needs to locate and apprehend a jewel thief.
Because these stolen pieces are considered art he seeks the help of Madeline who he remembers to have an expertise in the field.
Madeline is now a widow, but the problem with Arthur’s need for her assistance is that she happens to be the thief he is seeking.
Will Arthur catch his culprit and if he does what will he do about her?
I gave this book 4.5 of 5.0 stars for storyline and characterization and a sensual rating of 3.75 of 5.0 flames.
This story, though bereft of actual physical encounters until near the end has an underlying sensuality that is undeniable.
I received a complimentary digital ARC from the author/publisher via Bookfunnel and NetGalley to read.

The Wrong Heiress for Christmas (Matchmaking for Wallflowers Book 6)
A reclusive duke…
Lord Frederick Bowen, Duke of Salisbury, is expecting an heiress for Christmas. The fact does not bring him pleasure. Ever since the war ended, he would rather focus on experiments for his new waterproof material.
Celia might be the daughter of an earl, but she’s of the illegitimate variety. She has resigned herself to life as a maid for the wicked countess and her two half-sisters.
A Christmas house party…
When Celia’s half-sister begs her to pretend to be her, Celia finds herself in a fairy tale. Everyone knows though that fairy tales never come true…
What a delightful read!!
This sixth book in Bianca Blythe’s Matchmaking For Wallflowers Series seems to be a Holiday take on Cinderella. It includes a wicked countess, half sisters(one who asks Celia to pose as her), and a Duke who is her unlikely suitor.
This fairytale like Christmas Romance will engage the reader and keep your attention. I couldn’t put it down once I began reading.
Lord Fredrick Bowen is an unlikely Duke. He much prefers his chemistry experiments to anything society has to offer. He needs to marry to carry on the title so along with his mother he invites Lady Theodosia Fitzroy to his home and to a ball to be held there.
Lady Theodosia has ideas of her own. She is in love with a French Comte and intends to elope to marry him. She asks Celia to take her place and thus ensues our story.
Our basic rags to riches Cinderella tale turns into a wonderfully told regency romp.
I gave this delightful tale 4.75 of 5.0 stars for storyline and character development and a sensual rating of 3.0 of 5.0 flames. Our tale is mostly a comically sweet one with only one intimate encounter.
I received a complimentary digital ARC of this book from the author via Bookfunnel to read and review as part of her review team. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
