Publisher’s Description:

In battle-torn Scotland, a castle’s mistress awaits her groom, a warrior she has never met . . .

Lady Gwendolyn Murphy’s fiancé has finally arrived at Latharn Castle, but she expects no joy in their introduction. Gwendolyn is well aware of Bróccín MacRaith’s cold reputation. Yet from first glance, she is drawn to the intimidating stranger. Impossible! How could she be dazzled by such a callous man?
Little does she know, Bróccín is dead. The man Gwendolyn believes to be her intended is actually Sir Aiden MacConnell, a member of the Knights Templar and her enemy, masquerading as the earl to gain access to the castle. His soul is dedicated to God and war; he has no time for luxuries of the flesh. But Gwendolyn’s intoxicating beauty, intellect, and fortitude lures him to want the forbidden.
With the wedding date quickly approaching and the future of Scotland at stake, Aiden gathers critical intelligence and steels himself for his departure, vowing to avoid an illicit liaison. But a twist of fate forces him to choose—move forward with a life built on a lie, or risk everything for the heart of one woman?

“Diana Cosby is superbly talented.”

My Thoughts:

I love Diana Cosby books and have been reading them for a long time. That being said, this book felt like one I had already read from the start. Maybe I read and extended excerpt before reading it but it just felt like a repeat.
The book is well written though like everything I’ve ever read by her.
This Knights Templar novel from the Forbidden series is one that is unforgettable.
Lady Gwendolyn Murphy is expecting her betrothed Bróccín MacRaith’s , a man the king has decreed she is to marry. The man who arrived instead is Sir Aiden MacConnell, a member of the Knights Templar and her enemy. He is masquerading as the earl, who is actually dead to gain access to her castle.
How will this end. Will Gwendolyn fall for this man?
I gave this book 4 of 5 stars for storyline and characterization. As I said I felt like I had already read this book before.

His employment offer proves too tempting for her to resist. She can’t afford to be distracted by his devilish charms because the stakes are so high for his sisters’ debut Season. . .unless one of London’s most notorious rakes has had a change of heart and is ready to make Esmeralda his bride in Last Night with the Duke, the first novel in the brand-new Regency Rakes of St. James series by New York Times bestselling author Amelia Grey.

My Thoughts:

Reviewed at NetGalley March 7, 2017

In this the first of a new series Amelia Grey delights us with a pair of twins making their debut on society, an unruly twelve year old girl and we throw in a Sky Terrier for good measure.

These characters add a delightfully funny nature to this wonderful love story.

Esmeralda once would have been making a debut herself had her mother not fell in love with and married an Irish Poet and consequently been disowned by her brother and the family.

Griffin, The Duke of Griffin is one of a trio of young rakish dukes. His aunt is to help bring his twin sisters out into society but she is ill. Now he needs someone to help him. I loved this book.

I have read several other offerings by this author and have enjoyed them.

Amelia Grey does tend to write stories that are remarkably sweet in nature.

We find only heated kisses and mild petting through most of the book but it does usually lead to one climactic love scene. This is the case with this book. There are moments of laughter and sadness to balance out the story.

I gave this book 4.5 of 5tars for storyline and characterization and a sensual rating of 3 of 5 flames.

I love this series. It is full of humor, a bit of danger and romance.

Charlotte is a bit adventurous. In spite of her warnings to the contrary she leaves her home to simply cross the street to the second residence and promptly is abducted by miscreants who work for the infamous Madame who Charlotte’s brother-in-law put out of business. Revenge is what the woman is after. She intends I’ll will against Charlotte.

Constantine wants no part of marriage but when he sees the abduction occur he follows to assist the young lady.
His help turns to what could easily be a scandal so he offers marriage.

When Charlotte discovers her savior’s identity she wants no part of the scoundrel.

Can what starts as a rescue, turning to a scandalous occurrence end in love?

I  gave this delightful book 4.5 of 5.0 stars for storyline and character development and a sensual rating of 3 of 5 flames. The attraction that ensues finally turns to intimacy.

Love touched them. Treachery divided them. One night of passion binds them.

Betrayed by her father, Marsaili Campbell risks her life to recover what he has stolen from her. But when she’s kidnapped and wagered away, she has no one to help her escape other than the very man she’s spent the past three years trying to forget—Highland warrior Callum Grant. She once gave her heart and her innocence to the handsome Scot, only to regret her naive decisions. Still, with more enemies than she can battle alone, she needs an ally, even if she must hide the truth of her circumstances from him.

Laird Callum Grant thrust his clan into war for the love of a woman, only to lose her forever. But when the woman he believed dead appears at his clan’s tourney in dire trouble, there’s no denying Marsaili has been alive all this time. With his clan weakened from the years of raids and battles, however, he cannot afford to do anything that would ruin the betrothal he’s made to secure his clan’s future. Yet he can’t turn away from the woman who once beguiled him body and soul.

As Callum and Marsaili embark on a dangerous journey, each touch, each look, each clash of wills reignites their desire in an all-consuming inferno. But the secret Marsaili keeps and the duty that shackles Callum are threatening to destroy them. That is, unless they can learn that love, once truly given, is unbreakable.

My Thoughts:

I loved this latest book in the Highlander Vows, Entangled Hearts series.

Filled with treachery, danger and a second chance at love this book is well written and totally engrossing.

Callum and Marsaili’s story is a combination of elements that make it virtually impossible to put down. It is one for the keeper shelf.

Laird Callum Grant thinks the only woman he has ever loved is dead, but is that her at his clan’s tourney? He can’t have Marsaili now because he must marry another to secure his clan’s safety. Will her need for help be Callum’s downfall?

Marsaili Campbell has spent the last three years a captive, all the while trying to forget Callum Grant. Now he is the only one who can save her.

Now that they are thrown together will it lead to more than a reunion in spirit?

I gave this well developed tale 4.5 of 5.0 stars for storyline and characterization and a sensual rating of 3.75 of 5.0 flames. The heat between these two is palpable and the intimacy one of a revisited passion.
