Publisher’s Description:
Georgiana Rutherford, the Duchess of Hardcastle, seemingly has it all—wealth, pedigree, and the admiration of the ton, except her heart hungers for a passionate affair. She meets the enigmatic and ruthless Mr. Rhys Tremayne, a man known to low and high society as the Broker. The attraction between them is impossible to deny, but she cannot be feeling it for this man.
Rhys Tremayne has built his wealth and empire by dealing secrets on the black market of the London underworld. He is determined to take his sisters away from the depraved world they’ve known their entire lives, and the duchess is the perfect woman to help sponsor his sisters into society. The only problem is that he wants more from Georgiana, even if the social divide between them ensures she can only ever be his lover in secret.
My Thoughts:
We have another winner from an author who has quickly become one of my favorites.
Oh what a tangled web…. Georgiana is a young, widowed Duchess who has a young son, the current Duke. When his nursemaid disappears she looks for help from the authorities but finds none there. Her brother engages the help of Rhys Tremayne, known for his ability to come up with answers when no one else can. Rhys quickly solves the issue of the missing nursemaid not realizing that it will lead to something more sinister in the long run.
This tangle of mystery leads to an affair between Georgiana and Rhys, but will it become more?
I enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting.
I gave it 4.25 of 5.0 stars for storyline and characterization and a high sensual rating of 4.5 of 5.0 flames.
The intimacy between hero and heroine is scorching.
I received a complimentary digital ARC of this title from the publisher via NetGalley to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

Publisher’s Description:
Elizabeth Bennet finds out that she will have to marry Mr. Collins. But Elizabeth doesn’t want to be forced to marry someone she does not love.
Luck would have it that she met Darcy at the Netherfield Ball. Elizabeth brought up her wishes not to enter a forced marriage with Mr. Collins. Darcy then tells her his idea of how he can help by marrying her instead, due to being put under pressure by his own family to get married soon.
Elizabeth doesn’t know which one would be better — a forced marriage with Mr. Collins or a marriage of convenience with Darcy. If she marries Darcy, will she ever fall in love with him? Will Darcy ever love her?
My Thoughts:
This book is Jane Austin relived. It is a very sweet, traditional regency with none of the fire contained in a more modern regency romance novel. There is only a hint of anything sensual. Dreams of kisses and hopes of future children the only hints contained.
I prefer a bit more spice but it is a nice quick read and suitable for a younger teen audience much like Jane Austin’s story.
I gave this retold Pride and Prejudice novel 3.75 of 5.0 stars for storyline and characterization and a sensual rating of 1 of 5 flames.
I received a complimentary ARC of this book via Hidden Gems to read and review. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

READ AN EXCERPT
Publisher’s Description:
A marriage offer obligated by duty–an acceptance compelled by desperation.
Scarred from a fire, at two-and-twenty, Philomena Pomfrett is resigned to spinsterhood. But to ease her dying brother’s fretting, she reluctantly agrees to attend a London Season to acquire a husband. If she fails, when he dies, with no family and no money, her future is perilous. Betrayed once, Philomena entertains no notions of a love-match.
Newly titled, Bradford, Viscount Kingsley, returns to England after a three-year absence. When he stumbles upon Philomena hiding in a secluded arbor during a ball, believing she died in a fire he doesn’t recognize his first love. Yet something about her enthralls him, and he steals a moonlit kiss. Caught in the act by Philomena’s brother, Bradford is issued an ultimatum—a duel or marry Philomena.
Bradford offers marriage, but Philomena rejects his half-hearted proposal, convinced he’d grow to despise her. Then her brother collapses, and she’s faced with marrying a man who deserted her once already.
Caution:
This Regency historical romance contains a jaded lord whom the ladies adore, a scarred spinster, willing to sacrifice everything for her dying brother, a feisty, portly cat, and an audacious aunt who say precisely what she thinks.
Buy this 3rd installment in the Waltz with a Rogue Historical Regency romances series for a rousing, emotional, and romantic adventure you can’t put down.

Prequel to Highlander’s Hope, Castle Brides Book 2
How can she love the man responsible for her husband’s death?
When Giselle McTavish left France as the wife of a Scottish laird, she never expected to be widowed two years later and left with a toddler to raise. Filled with animosity toward Highlander, Hugh Ferguson—the man she holds responsible for her husband’s drowning, and a man she must see every day because he, too, lives at Craiglocky Keep—she’s determined her son, the next laird, will be raised in Scotland, nonetheless. Her struggles to overcome loneliness and homesickness are compounded as it becomes more difficult to fight the warm feelings Hugh now stirs in her.
Hugh has loved Giselle almost from the moment he laid eyes on the petite Frenchwoman. But as the wife, and then the widow of his dearest friend, he has refused to act on his feelings. He blames himself for his friend’s death. Guilt as well as the belief Giselle hates him, keeps Hugh’s lips firmly closed and his heart sealed. That all changes one providential Valentine’s Day when he risks everything by using Scottish folklore and legend to at last proclaims his love.
