It’s Yuletide at Conall Castle

Hew has spent the last twenty years all alone. When a winter storm causes him to seek shelter, he meets the first lass since his beloved Mae to make his heart flutter once again. Will he be able to release himself from his grief to allow another love into his life?
A McMillan Christmas:
A Time For Second Chances
When the worst Christmas snowstorm of the century hits the Scottish Highlands, Harper knows she must seek shelter and is left with no choice but to take refuge in the one place she swore to never return—McMillan Castle—the home of the only man to ever break her heart.
Christmas only reminds Kamden of all he’s lost. As he settles in for yet another holiday spent alone, he is stunned when his ex-girlfriend breaks into his home to escape the snow. Just as they begin to get reacquainted, Morna’s meddling magic sends them back in time, and both are forced to reconsider what they thought they knew about the other.
Morna’s Magic & Mistletoe:
Kenna accompanies Cooper hundreds of years into the future for a week of Christmas celebrations with the old witch, Morna, but unexpected guests upend all of their holiday plans.
When Malcolm bumps into old friends, he meets the first woman in years to stir something long neglected inside his heart. Time together ignites their passion for one another, but the undeniable truth that they live worlds apart threatens their bond. Will their new love for one another be enough to convince him to leave the life he’s always known?

The Baron’s Quest by ELIZABETH ROSE –
Nicholas Vaughn is Lord of New Romney and also a Baron of the Cinque Ports. He directs a fleet of ships that service the king 15 days a year in exchange for special privileges.
When Muriel Draper causes havoc on his wharf, he realizes she is a spinster – a woman who spins wool for a living – from the town. Her late father has angered the Clothmaker’s Guild and now Muriel and her brother have been excommunicated from the guild and also left with a debt to the baron that he insists Muriel repays.
She can either give the baron her deceased mother’s wedding ring – the only memory of her parents she has left – or she can live with him at his manor house and be his Personal Clothier to pay back the debt.
Can a merchant’s daughter and a Baron of the Cinque Ports find a safe harbor with the passion that burns between them, or will title and status sink that ship before it’s even sailed?
Champion of the Heart by LAUREL O’DONNELL –
Fox Mercer vows revenge on those who unjustly stripped his father of his knighthood and his lands, including the Lady Jordan Ruvane whom he once called friend. Forced to abandon his rightful place in society, Fox becomes an outcast known as the Black Fox. He steals what he needs to live, hiding in the decaying ruins of a haunted castle he once called home, determined to one day regain what is rightfully his.
Lady Jordan Ruvane is the protector of the orphaned children of her village. When she loses one of her children because the Black Fox steals the medicinal herbs that would have saved the child, Jordan vows to capture her old childhood friend and bring him to justice.
In a twist of fate, Jordan is the one who becomes the captive. Old flames are ignited and an undeniable firestorm of buried passion is unleashed. But sinister secrets from their childhood are also revealed, threatening their future. Can Fox conquer the dark mystery of the past and truly become the champion of his lady’s heart?
Champion of the Heart is an exciting medieval romance filled with dark secrets and haunted castles, villainous betrayal and heartbreaking tragedy, honor and family loyalty — and a love that conquers all.
The Highlander’s Tempestuous Bride by CATHY MACRAE –

The Norman Conquest Series
Rowena Godwinson, a Saxon princess, refuses to go willingly into a forced marriage to one of King William’s most favored knights but her struggle against enemy occupation fades away in the pleasurable arms of her Norman husband. Will he bring her people to their knees in his attempt to please his liege lord? Or can she win him over to the Saxon’s side even while one of her own plots to overthrow the bastard king?John of Normandy is a soldier made for battle, ingrained with chivalry and a deep sense of loyalty to his mentor and king. Serving his liege is reward enough. Neither a title nor a child bride will entice him to become an indolent lord. A chance encounter with an alluring beauty, however, releases all his pent up desires and unspoken needs. His young bride has become a passionate woman, tempting him beyond his endurance. Can he win her over before she learns the truth of her father’s death?
All of these books are quite easily read as standalone stories. There are some of the same characters in these books.
I would give this book 4.5 of 5.0 stars for storyline and characterization and a sensual rating of 3.0 of 5.0 flames. The intimacy at times seems more like it is forced rather than consensual.
