Memorial Day means summer has arrived! And the first books in three awesome historical series are on sale for 99¢ right now – summer is the perfect time to start a new series, preferably by the pool.
To celebrate the sale, authors Robyn DeHart, Ally Broadfield, and Harmony Williams are spending the week with us! To start, we asked them a bit about their series!
What ties the books in your series together?
(author of the How To series)
The Adair family and their search for missing family jewels.
(author of The Ladies of Passion series)
The Ladies of Passion series features three best friends with very different life goals as they each struggle to accept parts of themselves they keep hidden from Society and fall in love along the way.
(Author of The Brotherhood of the Sword series)
All the heroes are members of the elite Brotherhood of the Sword, the secret security for Queen Victoria.
What book has been your favorite to write? Why?
Ally: How to Bewitch an Earl. I got just a bit behind with my writing that summer, and when we returned from vacation, I had two weeks to write the entire book. Edward and Isa were such a “made for each other” couple that they happily dictated their entire story to me in ten days and I made my deadline. An added bonus was that this book required the fewest edits of any of my books. I wish every book was that easy for me to write.
Harmony: How to Ruin Your Reputation in 10 Days – it was the first in the series that I wrote (despite it being book 2) and it will always have a special place in my heart. I consider the heroine, Francine, to be the character that I’ve written who is most similar to me. Giving her a happy-ever-after with her best friend is one of the highlights of my writing career. It’s definitely the “book of my heart.”
Robyn: I really loved For Her Spy Only, it’s the middle novella in my Masquerading Mistresses series and the hero, Alistair has Aspergers, though obviously they wouldn’t have known what that was then. It was a challenging and refreshing story.
All three of these books, which each kick off a series, are on sale for just 99¢ through June 4.
About The Books
To capture the most eligible bachelor in London…
The handsome Earl of Summersby may just be the most eligible bachelor in London, but has no interest in a wife. As a member of the Brotherhood, Bennett Haile is far more vested in his undercover duties for the crown and protecting the Queen from would-be assassins. For now he has the perfect tool with which to lure out the villains—a young woman with an uncanny likeness to the queen.
The spirited Evelyn Marington is about to live out every country girl’s dream—becoming royalty overnight. Under the tutelage of the arrogant Earl of Summersby, she’ll have to fool the entire court that she is, in fact, the queen. But as danger threatens from every side, Bennett realizes that his lovely little protegé isn’t just placing her life in his hands… She’s stealing his heart.

A proper gentleman.
A not-so-proper lady…
The spirited Catherine Malboeuf has just arrived in England to reclaim her ancestral home, Walsley Manor, and a valuable missing heirloom. Nicholas Adair, the attractive and frustratingly inflexible Duke of Boulstridge, however, is quite unwilling to sell the estate back to Catherine. Unless, of course, she accepts a small wager…
Nick will sell Walsley Manor if—and only if—Catherine secures an offer of marriage from an eligible member of the ton before the end of the London season.
Of course, Nick is certain he’ll win. After all, no proper gentleman would ever marry a woman who conceals a cutlass in her skirts. Yet something about Catherine’s unconventional disposition seems to ignite a need deep inside him. A need that won’t just cost him the wager, but the very heart he swore to never give away…
He’s everything she thinks she doesn’t want.
When Miss Rose Wellesley’s father threatens an arranged marriage, she knows she’d better settle on a choice quickly or end up having no say in who she marries. Fortunately, she’s garnered a rare invitation to Lady Dunlop’s “Week of Love” house party, an annual affair notorious for matchmaking. Her plans to expedite a proposal would go smoothly if not for the brash younger sister she must chaperone, her outspoken, disagreeable best friend, and the bullish Lord Hartfell who seems determined to dog her every step.
Lord Hartfell embodies every last thing Rose dislikes in a man. He’s domineering, tenacious, argumentative, and a little too casual with his nudity for her tastes. Worst of all, Rose can’t seem to get him—or his kisses—out of her mind.
Rose is determined to find a more appropriate husband, even if her heart disagrees with how unsuitable the stubborn lord is…
