Publisher’s Description:

A hopeless romantic…
Veronique Daventry absolutely believes in true love. When the baron she’s corresponded with for years over long distance suggests they elope in Scotland, she eagerly assents. Perhaps she’s never met him, but she’s certain their souls are meant to be joined for eternity.

A notorious rogue…
Lord Miles Worthing is surprised when he is ushered to a chapel on a visit to Scotland and finds a beautiful woman. His happiness halts when her family discovers them in a compromising position.

A mistaken identity…
Veronique is devastated to have mistaken this stranger for her fiancé. She needs to find the correct baron at once, but the only person who can help her is the man who makes her heart race as it absolutely should not.

My Thoughts:

I have read most of this series and found this book to be the best I have read so far. There is just the right mixture of comedy, adventure and love.

Veronique is a young woman who is the daughter of an American and a Mulatto woman. She is a romantic who is the secret author of books that were considered, in this time period to be scandalous reading materials. They were known as Penny dreadfuls.

She has been corresponding with a Baron for two years and intends to marry him as soon as possible.

Miles who has recently been given the title of Baron is mistaken for the Baron that Veronique intends to marry.

This is how our adventurous tale begins.

Will Veronique get her happily ever after. Will it be with the man she has been corresponding with for two years or the man who was recently mistaken for him?

I found this at times funny tale to have very endearing characters and a well thought out storyline.

I gave it 4.25 of 5 stars for storyline and characterization and a sensual rating of 3 of 5 flames.

There is only a brief physical encounter near the end of the book. This scene was the undeniable culmination of what would happen.

I received a complimentary digital copy of this book from the publisher to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this book which I have voluntarily reviewed.

About The Author:

facebookauthorBorn in Texas, Wellesley graduate Bianca Blythe spent four years in England. She worked in a fifteenth century castle, though sadly that didn’t actually involve spotting dukes and earls strutting about in Hessians.

She credits British weather for forcing her into a library, where she discovered her first Julia Quinn novel. She remains deeply grateful for blustery downpours.

Bianca lives in Massachusetts with her dashing rogue.

Cut from the Same Cloth, A Humorous Traditional Regency, Book Three – My Notorious Aunt

Aunt Honore is up to her old tricks, only now she’s meddling in her mysterious nephew’s life…

Why does the powerfully built, golden-haired, Lord St. Evert dress like an overdone Dandy? His outlandish wardrobe belies the hard unyielding lines of his face. Whoever he is, he’s ruining Elizabeth Hampton’s desperate scheme to secure a rich husband. Terribly vexing, to arrive at the most fashionable Breakfast Party of the Season wearing a perfectly stunning Chinese silk gown, only to discover Lord St. Evert is clad in unmentionables cut from identical cloth.

Humiliating. And insufferable! Why, the devil, must he show up in fabrics Elizabeth searched so diligently to procure? To say nothing of the long hours she spent secretly stitching her creations together. He must be stopped. She is determined to spy out his perplexing game, and put an end to his interference.

Scarlet O’Hara meets the Scarlet Pimpernel

St. Evert despises pretension of any kind. He cannot abide the self-important airs put on by some members of the Ton and takes pleasure in making a mockery of Brummell’s fashion strictures. Conceited frauds! Hadn’t his grandfather’s snobbery made his mother’s life a misery? All the more maddening to discover that the one woman who captures his interest is the biggest pretender of all. He vows to teach Miss Elizabeth Hampton a lesson she won’t soon forget.

I loved reading the Scarlet Pimpernel, and the character of Scarlet O’Hara always intrigued me. What if those two characters were thrust into their own story. Thus was born Cut from the Same Cloth. And as always my work takes a bow to the incomparable Georgette Heyer, and to the mother of romantic comedy, Jane Austen. I hope you will have as much fun reading this romance as I did writing it.
