My New Release Review of

Hard to Hold51t--0YeGkL

A Hard to Play Novel

by Katie Rose

Publisher’s Description:

“Katie Rose writes sexy, skilled sports heroes who know how to treat a woman right!” raves Wendy S. Marcus. Now the award-winning author of the Bad Boys of Baseball series introduces a team of soccer stars who score on and off the pitch.

New Jersey Hurricanes striker Logan Hart lives for the grind of training, the adrenaline of competition, and all the perks of the road—until his ex hands him a baby and tells Logan to raise her on his own. He’s eager to pass this bundle of joy into more capable hands and get back to his hard-playing, hard-partying ways. But when a beautiful, blond drill sergeant of a nanny turns Logan’s life upside down, he sets a new goal: winning her heart.

Isabella Bennett takes pride in teaching the rich and famous how to become loving families. Her no-nonsense style is just what Logan and his crying, copper-haired cutie need. So why can’t she get the image of Logan’s tanned, muscular body out of her head? Isabella’s here to whip a new father into shape, not fall for a sexy ladies’ man. But their chemistry is too tantalizing to ignore, much like the temptation to trust someone with her deepest secrets—and embrace a loving family all her own.

My Thoughts:

I have read every book in The Bad Boys of Baseball series and loved all of them as I am a huge baseball fan.

I wasn’t really certain about a soccer storyline as soccer is not very well received in my world. This story was more romance than sports so I didn’t need to really understand the ins and outs of this game I have no understanding of.
The story and characters are well developed and we even get to see some of the ones we came to love in the bad boys of baseball books.
The only thing that bothered me was the frequent use of certain salty wording so if sweet romance is what you prefer this may not be one you would want to read. However, salty language aside, this is a good story and I enjoyed the read.

I would give this book a 4.75 star rating.
I received this book as a digital ARC courtesy of the author and publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Portrait of Passion

Idyllwild Book 1

by Lynne Barron

Digital List Price: $0.99

What’s a gentleman to do when a mysterious lady with a secret past and a reputation frayed 51fdva09silaround the edges suddenly appears in London in pursuit of his naive young cousin, setting the gossips’ tongues wagging, stirring his family into pandemonium, and driving him mad with her irreverent ways?
If the gentleman in question is Simon Carlisle, Viscount Easton, the answer is quite simple. Seduce the beguiling lady. But Miss Beatrice Morgan isn’t your average tarnished lady. She’s lived a slapdash life wandering the globe like a gypsy, painting fantastical portraits of duchesses and landscapes featuring a crumbling old fountain, all the while harboring a secret desire to return to the only home she’s ever known.
Will Beatrice sacrifice her honor, her virtue, her very heart to reclaim Idyllwild?
This book was previously published by the same title. While I have made minor revisions and given it a beautiful new cover and fresh edits, the story remains a spicy, sensual tale filled with all sorts of dallying, frolicking and even a hint of debauchery. And very little of the fun takes place behind closed doors

All 3 books in The Louisiana Knights series are standalone reads. The above is suggested reading order only.
