MISTAKEN KISS, A Humorous Traditional Regency, Book Two My Notorious Aunt

(Aunt Honore is back…)

Willa is nearly blind, but she knows trouble when she trips over it.

51HiDnfBuWL__SX331_BO1,204,203,200_Willa, the vicar’s little sister knows full well that her prospects are bleak. When she accidentally kisses Alexander Braeburn, her dull predictable world turns upside down. Logic dictates that she should stay away from the handsome Corinthian. He’s the black sheep of their village. But how can she resist? She yearns for one more taste of the most tantalizing excitement she has ever experienced. Just one more, before Willa settles back into her dreary life forever.

Alex is intrigued by the refreshingly forthright Willa. Her genuine character warms his jaded heart and makes him smile. When she naïvely marches into trouble, Alex feels duty bound to rescue her. Is it duty? Or something else that compels him to watch over the vicar’s little sister?

Mistaken Kiss is a Sweet Traditional Regency Romance

MISTAKEN KISS was written as a tribute to two of my favorite authors: the brilliant Oscar Wilde and the incomparable Georgette Heyer. How can I ever thank them for making me laugh during some of my difficult growing up years. I hope you will enjoy this light-hearted Regency romp as much as I enjoyed writing it. Devious Aunt Honore is back, and she’s up to her pin curls in mischief. Rather a crafty slyboots in this Regency romantic romp, and I must confess I miss writing about her. Luckily, the old gal will be back in book three, CUT FROM THE SAME CLOTH, another Regency Romantic Comedy.

What Critics are saying:

“Wonderful reading for Regency fans! The author created a strong character, Willa, and gave her a brain to match. No simpering, faint-hearted miss here! With some fun and witty times, a bit of romance, and some magical moments, this novel is gem! This story will remain in your thoughts long after you finish reading it. BRAVA!” – HUNTRESS REVIEWS

“Baldwin’s second book and it is a delight… There are farcical elements to the story, but it is never over the top. There is laughter aplenty here, attractive, winning leads and sparkling dialog that left me with a smile on my face. I highly recommend this engaging Traditional Regency.” –Cheryl Sneed, Rakehell Reviews

“I love these “Aunt Honore” books and this one does not fail. Willa and Alex are delightful characters with great chemistry. I love how they seem to not realize as they fall deeper and deeper in love. … Lady Alameda (or Aunt Honore) is a great character with her schemes and matchmaking. She is a great character through all three books and makes life so much more fun for the other characters. I really enjoyed this sweet story and the wonderful characters.” –

Desperately seeking a fiancé …
Miss Sarah Battersby is in dire need of a man, preferably one skilled at deception. Upon her father’s death, she will be left with no home and nary a penny. With time running out, she must either accept the proposal of a man she loathes, or stall long enough to secure a teaching position by telling one teensy, trifling lie—that she is promised to someone else. The problem? He does not technically exist. But Sarah refuses to be defeated by insignificant details. The answer lies in finding the right man for the job. And, as luck would have it, she has stumbled on just the candidate … though he could use a little patching up.

Desperately seeking a refuge …
Where Lord Colin Lacey goes, trouble follows—even when he attempts to do right. Tortured and hunted by a brutal criminal, he is rescued from death’s door by the stubborn, oddly fetching Miss Battersby. In return, she asks one small favor: Pretend to be her fiancé. Temporarily, of course. With danger nipping his heels, he knows it is wrong to want her, wrong to agree to her terms. But when has Colin Lacey ever done the sensible thing?

Desperately seeking a love to conquer all …
As lies turn to longing, and longing to something deeper, they realize it will take more than passion to see them through the danger to come. They will need a plan. They will need family. Above all, they will need a love strong enough to steel a lady’s resolve and transform a scoundrel’s heart.

Dougald MacNeill is the next to youngest MacNeill brother and he’s not about to settle down, until 51cvY+sCx4L__SX331_BO1,204,203,200_Lady Alana Cameron is placed squarely in his lap…and then, the trouble begins.

When Dougald finds Alana roaming the heather on the MacNeill lands, he takes her in hand to see his laird brother James at Craigly Castle to determine her fate. But who has sent her there and why? Her uncle, laird of the Cameron clan, that has warred with the MacNeills for years, has made a marriage arrangement with another clan and now that is even at stake.

Having witnessed her father’s death, and even believing he had returned her home when all along he had been dead, Alana discovers she has the gift, or curse, of seeing the newly departed and sometimes those who should have long ago passed over. Her own deceased brother continues to plague her, the rake, and now another, who is very much of the flesh, Dougald MacNeill, has her thinking marrying a rake might just have its benefits. Dougald’s sister, who is one feisty ghost, has offered to help Alana keep Dougald in line if he thinks of even straying.

But who sent Alana on a fool’s errand in the first place to remove her from the Cameron’s lands and set her squarely in Dougald’s care, and who really killed her father and her brother, and what has it all to do with Alana? Will she and Dougald learn the truth before it is too late?

Come back to a time when manners are everything and rules are made to never be broken. Come back to a time when men are in charge and women do what they are told…
Yeah, that never happened.
Welcome to Megan Bryce’s Regencyland, where ladies with backbone get what they want. Where a woman can thumb her nose at rules and care little for convention, and yet somehow, unexpectedly and most reluctantly, find love.

51IM449AUyL__SX311_BO1,204,203,200_To Wed The Widow

A man with a Future, the Honorable George Sinclair would rather poke his eye out than take his place beside his brother and learn How To Be An Earl. But when an earl orders, a brother obeys. And when an earl tries to make his brother steady and responsible and old and gray, well… it just might kill them both.

A woman with a Past, Lady Haywood is a scandalous distraction that no honorable gentleman can ignore. Especially one who’s just been told that his very happy life is changing irrevocably to the boring. But even if a scandalous distraction is what George wants, what he needs is a wife. A virgin wife. A scandal-less wife…

The earl would be the first to say that his brother has always had a problem choosing what he needs over what he wants. Lady Haywood would say that very few women who have buried five husbands would bother with a sixth. And George would say… why, this sounds like fine fun.
